Something
that I'm passionate about is dancing. That I was passionate about these things
was not always so, since I was small I did not mind moving my body, did not
think much of me or what I liked, only flowed in the monotonous routine and the
period in which I change school. from Puente Alto to Providencia, some things
made me want to attract attention. My school was only male and to celebrate
anniversaries we made invitations with other female colleges. In one of these
anniversaries we danced disco, it was the song "you should be
dancing", this was the first time I danced, I had never done it in public,
not even in my family. From that moment I began to look for rhythms, also went
out with my friends to dance at parties and was very trained.
When I got
to college I met the African-American dansa and also me, my body, I also
learned things that were previously invisible. I knew that dancing is love and
history, history of slavery, colonization and resistance of the black blood
together with the Indians of America. That's why I love to dance, because it
means another space in which I transform myself. Today I dance Caporal and it's
amazing, I feel the synergy dancing, I feel the smiles and the people's gaze at
the carnivals filling my heart, gives me pleasure and keeps me alive, immensely
alive.
